50th Anniversary Speech Son

Farewell to a friend

One always says he is ready for anything: news, bad news, worse news. The fact is that when you arrive, you were not prepared one bit. A friend, Charlie Acosta, just informed me that yesterday killed one of the great radio in Venezuela, but, above all things, was a great friend, Placido Garrido.

Talk about what you meant Plácido in our radio, I will leave that to others as I'm concerned, was the best in the 70 and 80, along with Ivan Loscher and Jesus Leandro, two great friends too. Beside Jesus

Leandro, Placido was one of the major drivers of this band, Burning 5, his friendship with Ginés was when he played with The Memphis. We loved our music, even as Jesus did in 1090 and Diffuser, rang in our Capital Programme second single, knowing that there was a veto against the record label that was publishing us. The risk that both ran at the time was great and we will be eternally grateful.

De Placido want to stay with an image. Even when we were on HBO, where he was the voice of one of the channels and I worked on captioning, I was greeted with the same sentence and the gesture of almost 30 years earlier: "What I have out there?", And gathering tip the thumb with the second phalanx of the index. You know ...

Farewell, friend!
